SmartMusic Foot PedalIf you have a foot pedal, it should be displayed in the drop down menu in the upper left.A foot pedal is optional but I would recommend buying one. A Foot Pedal can be used to stop or start an accompaniment. This is especially useful at the end of cadenzas, or similar situations when your hands are otherwise occupied (i.e., playing your instrument). I use the foot pedal sold by MakeMusic, which is a USB device. It works perfectly with my home computer but will not function with my laptop even if I use a powered USB hub - I have no idea why. Clicking “Finished” takes you to the SM play module.
